Youth Learning

St. John’s strives to offer educational opportunities for children at every age.  We provide a variety of learning experiences on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.  All programs follow the school calendar.  We do not meet during the summer months.

Parent/Tot Group – Our Parent/Tot group meets each Sunday from 9:15-10:15 in the Fellowship Hall.  It is a time for parents with kids younger than Sunday School age to get together for coffee and fellowship.  There is a small craft provided, along with toys and toddler friendly snacks.  Coffee and doughnuts are provided for parents.

Children’s Sunday School Ages 3-5th Grade – Our Sunday School meets each Sunday from 9:15-10:15.  Sunday School begins at age 3 and continues through 5th grade.  We have an average of 90 students in Sunday School every week served in 8 classrooms by almost 20 teachers and helpers!

Singpiration – Singspiration is our Sunday School music program.  All of our students gather in the Sanctuary at 10:00am to sing and dance.  Everyone is invited to watch this joyful, exuberant event.  You’ll leave feeling happier, lighter and closer to God than when you arrived!

M.O.S.E.S. Middle School Sunday Experience – Grades 6-8 – M.O.S.E.S. is St. John’s middle school Sunday morning experience.  This class meets in our Youth Room and covers a variety of topics and service project.  You may even see a guest speaker or two.

Confirmation Class Grades 7-9 – Confirmation meets from 6pm-7pm on Wednesday evenings.  There is also an optional family dinner provided at 5:30. ($1/person donation please)  Confirmation topics include the Old Testament, New Testament and Luther’s Catechism.

AGOY(A Group Of Youth) – Grades 10-12 – Our post confirmation youth group meets Wednesday evenings from 6pm-7pm.  This is mainly a student run group that does  bible study, service projects and plans social activities for the high school students.  AGOY members and their families are also welcome to join in the family meal at 5:30.
