Youth Ministry

• Koinonia is a meeting on Wednesdays for youth.
  • The meal for families or individuals is at 5:30pm.
• Confirmation classes are for 7th through 9th graders at 6pm on Wednesdays.
  • Director, Kim Larson.
  • 8-10 lay adults teach confirmation classes.
  • Affirmation of Baptism occurs in the fall of the student’s 10th grade year.
  • Youth serve during worship services as acolytes, greeters, ushers, communion assistants or readers. Many also staff the nursery on Sunday mornings.
  • Community service is also built into the confirmation program.
  • At least once during the year, youth invite adults to be mentors for an exchange of ideas as their confirmation lesson.
  • Many adults act as table leaders at the Lenten supper meals and lead discussions with youth on a variety of pre-selected topics.
  • High school youth serve coffee between services on Sunday mornings.
